Heritage day 24 September
Heritage day (also known as National Braai Day) is one of the most important days for South Africa, as we commemorate our diversity as a ‘rainbow nation’. In true South African style, Heritage day is celebrated by having a braai with family and friends to affirm our unity as a democratic country.
“…when South Africans celebrate the diverse cultural heritage that makes up a “rainbow nation”. It is the day to celebrate the contribution of all South Africans to the building of South Africa.”
